English 10 Homework for Monday, Jan. 11:

1. Prompt Essay: Imagination can help create a better world.

This is a prompt that could incorporate a lot of the work you have done this semester: the ideas and themes in Plato's, and other's allegories, to the Federal Election and a new Prime Minister with new ideas, to the dreams and failures of Orwell's animals, to the modern Ozymandias, whose brutal war is destroying Syria and forcing his people to flee for their lives, creating a sea of refugees who drown or languish in camps, or who survive and imagine a safer shore where they can live a better life in a better world world...........Imagine....

You have some good resources from your work this semester that you could use - among others.

B Block: Start your outline or your essay this weekend, bring it to class Monday, and have it finished by and the end of the block.  

C Block: Because you further behind, your essay will be due at the end of the day Tuesday.
