Ms. Tyre's English 9 Homework for Friday, May 10: 

1. With your partner, you are to decide what concept or thing you will write a poem about, and to let me know by tomorrow.  It is not due until next Friday, May 17.  Your poem will have the following ingredients:

• it will be 12 to 14 lines
• it will be full of imagery: that vivid description that utilizes, simile, metaphor and personification that will require appropriate descriptive vocabulary
• it will be original, thoughtful and interesting:  not a cliche
• it will be word-processed for the overhead
• it will be accompanied by a poster illustration 
• It will be presented by in a formal presentation
• YOU NEED TO BE WORKING ON IT RIGHT AWAY.
