English 11 Homework for Wed.,  April 29:

1. Frankenstein:  

a) Read Chapter 10.

b) Do the questions for Chapter 10. You will need to do some research on Rousseau's philosophy of human nature and "noble savage."

c) Personal Response: With care and in your Journal section of your Binder, write your thoughts, feelings etc. about this short encounter between Victor and his Creature. 

Though this section is a short piece, you should be able to write a few paragraphs, approximately one page in total or a little less, Consider: Who do you feel more empathy for? Why? Why not? Are you surprised at the Creature's ability to speak? Why? What else surprises you about the characters or situation.......This can be word-processed or not. But be thoughtful about the short meeting of these two adversaries.
