English 11 Homework for Friday-Monday, May 11:

1. Glossary and Quiz: some of you are keeping one, and some of you are not.  On Monday, I will be giving you a Vocabulary Quiz on the Creature's Chapters.  You will be able to use a Glossary you have set up in your binder. 

2. The Creature's Readings:   

1)Paradise Lost by John Milton 

2)Plutarch's Lives by Plutarch

3)The Sorrows of Werter by Geothe

4) AND  Victor's Notes that the Creature took from his labratory.

Finish the Creature's Chapters to end of Chapter 16, and complete the work below by Monday.

**Chapter 15: do questions 1: a and b, AND incorporate Chapter 16 questions into the Chapter 15 work, as they will help you develop your ideas.

  a) Word-process your work on each book/Notes, and how each affects him. These will be 4 sufficiently developed paragraphs for each of his readings. Please word-process each paragraph on a separate page. Do not go over a page each. 

Use proper paragraph structure: 1. Topic Sentence with Author, Title and Main Point of the paragraph.  2. The Body of the Paragraph, shows through Examples and Explanations the Main Point.  3. Concluding Sentence concludes your discussion on the main point, or other general way.  Do not end on a detail or quote. Remind the reader of the main point.

b) Word-process this paragraph on a separate page also, answering the question on which book you think affected him the most and explaining why you think so.  Do not use the 1st person point of view. 

Please format these 5 paragraphs in 12 pt. font, 1.5 spacing, or double-spaced, Times New Roman. 

Then: Do questions 2 and 3 as well for Chapter 15.  You do not need to word-process these; just write these up in your notes. 

All of this work is an individual effort. You are not to work in groups.
