English 11 Homework due Monday, April 25: 1-6

1. Read "The Credo" by Robert Fulghum, 2 or 3 times, as a poem takes time to settle in you. What is a "credo"?  Write a personal short poem in response to "The Credo." 

2. Read the poem in Inside Poetry,"Poetry" by Pablo Neruda. Always read a poem several times.

3. Look up words in the poem that you need to. Write them down and define them.

4. S. I. F. T. Neruda's poem following every step in the S. I. F. T. Be thorough.

5. Read page one "Personal Response:The Poetry of Experience."

6. Then read and S. I. F. T. "ancestors" by Carolyn Dunn, "A Backwards Journey," "All the Dreaming" by Kathy Sinclair, "Fairy Tales" by Shu Ting, and "The Child Who Walks Backwards" by Christine Craig.
