English 11 Homework for Monday, Jan. 9.

1. The Tempest: Read to the end of Act 1, Scene Two. 

2. Write a well-developed paragraph,  incorporating 2 or 3 integrated quotes, discussing and analyzing the relationship between Prospero and Caliban in Act 1, Scene 2.  Word Process your work. Remember you are writing to a stranger.

3. Write a well-developed paragraph on two of the main themes in Act 1, Scene 2.  Remember, you are writing for someone who has not read the play. Integrate some quotes in your paragraph.

Use your Handout "What is The Tempest About?" There are several themes identified. Two to three may apply. This is due at the beginning of the Block, Monday.
