Ms. Tyre's English 9 Homework for Fri. Sept. 20:

1. Personal Reflection on Your Relationship with Nature: You are working on this multiparagraph assignment over the next several days.  After today's brainstorm and reading of the "Living With Nature" article, you should be able to work on your ideas, and get more as we read.  I will give you a handout for essay structure next week so you can start formatting your reflection into a multi-paragraph essay.  Right now, though, you are writing up your examples and discussion of those examples - the real content. 

The full essay, properly formatted with your ideas and discussion in a formal essay structure, and word-processed, will be due on September 30th.

2. Glossary: Please start your Glossary after reading "Living With Nature."  Any important words that you do not know should be put in your Glossary.  This Glossary does not have to be word-processed.  Follow this format below for each word: 

WORD: part of speech (noun, verb, adjective, adverb)
Definition: an accurate definition for how the word is used in the text
Sentence: write a proper sentence that clearly shows you understand the word.
