Ms. Tyre's English 10 Homework for Thurs. Sept. 26:

1. Allegory of the Cave: Your analysis of this allegory is due. It will be a detailed analysis of the surface meaning of the allegory, and a corresponding detailed interpretation of the underlying meaning.  You will be thorough in showing the plot, characters, objects from beginning to end.  It will be readable, neat and well-written, even if it is done as a chart.

2. Second Draft of "Many Workman" paragraph analysis.  I would like you to write a second draft of the paragraph explaining the surface and underlying meaning of Crane's poem (unless you have a 5/5).  After reading the exemplar, you should have a better idea of the format, and approach to writing it. This is due, along with the 1st Draft early next week.

3. Improve the notes that you took in class today on the connotations of Babylon.
