Ms. Tyre's English 10 Homework Due Monday, Sept. 9:

1. Overview:  Please read it with your parents. Make sure they write down my phone number and extension number so they can get a hold of me if you are away, and that they have my email address.  Also, please have them sign the last page, write down their email address and phone number, and share any information they would like me to know.  Please get the Overview back to me by Tuesday at the latest.
2. Provincial Exam: Reread the poem "Great-Aunt Rebecca" and the short story "The Street that Got Mislaid."   On separate paper complete all the multiple-choice questions on these two texts, and write down several points of comparison and contrast between the two texts. Make a Venn diagram or fold a page of paper and get as many ideas as you can for both.  Bring the exam and your work to class.

For Tuesday:
1. Have your Binder all set up with your 8 dividers and their labels.
2. Also, have your legal size Portfolio file.
