English 11 and 12 Homework for Thursday, May 19:

1. 11's and 12's: The Tempest: Reread the speeches that Gonzalo makes in Act 1, scene 1, and compare them with the speeches made by Alonso, Antonio and Sebastian. Write down your impressions of Gonzalo and the three other regal passengers based on their speeches.

2. 12's: Go onto Shakespeare Navigator online and read Act I, scene 2, to line 105, both Shakespeare's text and Navigator's modern text.  Look up words you don't know, use the glossary on the opposite pages, and be prepared to read and explain the plot to line 105.

3. 11's: Write up the plot so far, to line 105, in your own words, be thorough and use some of the words from the text. Be prepared to tell the plot at the beginning of every block.
