English 9 Homework for Tuesday, May 24:

1. Romeo and Juliet: 

a) Do all questions to the end of Act 1, scene 5. 

b) Then write a paragraph explaining how Juliet's feelings about love in earlier scenes, and Romeo's feelings about love earlier, have changed...and what these shifts in feeling might mean?  Each of these paragraphs should be at least 1/2 to 2/3's of  a page, 12 pt. ft., 1.5 spacing.

c) Structure in a Shakespearean Play: Read the handout your have, "Plot Structure of the Shakespearean Tragedy," to understand the structure of the play. Then complete your entries on the small white chart; then transpose them onto the large Blue Chart. You will only be doing the Exposition(short paragraph) and the Exciting Force (1 or 2 sentences.) Do it in pencil and be neat!
