1. "In Goya's Greatest Scenes": a) finish your S.I.F.T of this poem.  Develop your answers so they are of use to you when it comes to doing a synthesis of two or more poems. 

b) Look up the "Beatniks": 

Who were they (some names)? What did they believe? What kind of "movement"was it? What did they want to change? How did their movement lead to cultural changes in America (North America)? 

c) Research City Lights Bookstore: its history, its purpose, and go to the website and look around.
