English 11 Homework for Wednesday, Dec. 17:

1. "Unknown Citizen": finish the questions for this poem, and include some integrated quotes from the poem in your answers. Make sure to integrate them well.

2. Prepare for "In Goya's Greatest Scenes", by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. A) Google the author and get a sense of his work and the time period he was writing.  b) Look up Goya, the painter and his time period; and look at his "Disasters of War" series of etchings that he did in 1808 when Napoleon invaded Spain. Pick a website that allows you to click on the etchings to see the details of several of these works. Warning: some are very disturbing.
