English 12 Homework for Tuesday, Feb. 9:

Overviews should all be in by Tuesday. All Binders should be organized. 

1. Synthesis of Two Texts: Read the article "Stop Googling. Let's Talk." Read it carefully two or three times. Do the same with the article, "Over Our Heads." 

In both texts look up words you do not know and put them in your Glossary section of your Binder. See the example below:

Word: discombobulating                      Definition: go to a dictionary for the definition   Word: write the word in the sentence from the article. 

2. Then, in point form, show how the two articles are both similar and different in the ideas they discuss.  You should have several bullets, that show and explain the similarities and the differences. This is analysis. Read carefully and be thoughtful.

* a bullet is a developed number of sentences that shows and discusses a similarity or difference in the ideas of the text(s).
