English 9 Homework for Tuesday, Feb. 23:

1. "There Will Come Soft Rains": Do questions 4 and 5. These are reasonably developed paragraphs.  Remember, you are to write for a stranger, so you must be thorough.

*For Question 4: identify and explain the metaphor in paragraph 16. 

*For Question 5: In 4 to 6 bullets, show the similarities our society has with the society of Bradbury's story. Use your understanding of the work you have done on environmentalism to do this. A bullet is a paragraph of 4-6 sentences that answers the question. 

*Get started on this tonight: come with 2 paragraphs done.
