English 10 Homework for Wed. February 11:

1. Prepare for your Personal Reflection tomorrow. Make an outline in bullet form so that you can write about your experiences in English Language Arts. 

This is a four paragraph essay: 

a) Introduction of 3-5 sentences with a thesis(main point) that states in a general way, the kind of experience you have had.

b) Body Paragraphs (2): This are developed paragraphs of 6-9 sentences each, of examples and explanations that show the experiences you have had, both positive and negative.  Your Topic Sentence for each paragraph should set up the paragraph in a general way.

c) Concluding Paragraph: This should be 4-5 sentences where you can set your goals, and how you plan to achieve them.

Also: Please have your parents or guardian read your Overview of the course, take down all the important information, and fill in the last page. I would like this to be returned to me by Monday at the latest.

Also: Have your 8 Binder Dividers labeled and in your binder by Friday.

2. Overview: Have your parent or guardian read the Overview, take down the important information, fill in the last page, and return it to me by Monday at the latest.

3. Personal Novel: Go to Richmond Public Library, or the SLSS Library to find a novel for Personal Reading. Please have it by Monday at the latest.
