English 11 Homework for Monday, Feb 16:
1. Binder Dividers will be completed in your binder and labeled. I'll check them Monday.
2. Overviews signed by your parent or guardian are due Monday. Put your name and date on the top right hand corner so I know who you are.
3. Choose a novel from a library that you want to read, and register it with me on Monday
4. Read "The Pedestrian" by Ray Bradbury several times. Look up words you do not know and enter them in the Glossary section of your Binder (the last tab). You should enter these words as follows:
Word: part of speech (noun, verb, adjective or adverb) Definition: the best definition in context Sentence: Use the word in a sentence of your own.
5. In the handout "Critical Reading of Short Stories," do all the questions from Character to Theme. Do the questions thoroughly and thoughtfully.
6. Be sure to be creating your Literary Terms and Devices document.

ReplyDeleteI see you've figured out how to highlight text, but I'm not sure if you can find the place to put the title as I see it is still in the body of the post.
