English 9 Homework for Monday, Sept. 21:

1. Revise your paragraph "The Sniper." Rewrite by following my marking symbols to correct your writing, but also develop your paragraph more so that a stranger would understand it. Make sure that you express the theme of this story so that the reader feels the tragedy of the situation. Staple  your original paragraph UNDERNEATH your revised paragraph.  

Do all the work on "The Weapon."

2. Using the LARGE CHART I gave you, explain the Setting, Conflict, Character(s), and Imagery in "The Sniper" and then in "The Weapon."

You do this by folding the large paper in half. You draw a line down the middle of that half - with a ruler! At the top of this side of the paper, the left side, write the title,"The Sniper"; on the right side of the line at the top, write the title, "The Weapon"

Now write neatly describing the Setting to the Imagery for "The Sniper", and then do the same for "The Weapon." Do not do Point of View.  Bring everything on Monday.
