1. Provincial Synthesis Essay: be thinking about ideas so you can complete this essay tomorrow.

English 11 Homework for Friday, June 5:

1. Frankenstein and Poem: Be thinking and working on your ideas for the Synthesis Essay that you must complete by the end of the block tomorrow. You are welcome to come in at 7:30am and at the lunch break, Thursday and Friday.

English 11 Homework for Thursday, June 4:

1. A and C: Be working on your thesis, ideas and examples for your Synthesis essay.  You should have an Acceptable Outline for tomorrow, that includes the following:

Introduction: 4 bullets of 4 words each, and the Thesis fully written out.

TS #1, 2, (and possibly 3): Topic sentences can be fully written out.

Body Paragraphs: 6 bullets and 6 words each

Conclusion: Thesis reworded in a full sentence, and 4 bullets of 4 words each.

"Direct References": have a list of the "quotes" you will use. These are not integrated until you write them in class.

You may also have your NOVEL, POEM, and SIFT.

English 10 Homework for Thursday, June 4:

1. D and B Block: Reread the Provincial Synthesis texts you were given and review the multiple choice.  Tonight, work on the IDEAS for the synthesis question.  Bring your exam and your ideas tomorrow. You will write the synthesis essay in class.

English 10 Homework for Tues. June 2:

1. D Block: Do the reading and multiple choice for the poem "Where I Come From," and "The Visitor." Please do this on your own paper.  

Tomorrow you will finish your personal essay in the first 20 minutes of the block, then work on the synthesis essay.

2. B Block: Reread the texts and the multiple choice for "What is the SCA?" and "The Street That Got Mislaid."
