English 9 Homework for Friday, Dec. 4:
1. Introduction to Shakespeare Quiz: Do questions 1 to the end of 6. Use your Textbook, the Handout, and Research online. Make sure to write your answers in full sentences, and in more multiple sentences: whatever is required to answer it well.
For Question 6, go online and look at Shakespeare's Theatre in London, that was rebuilt exactly as it was in his time. What was it named and when was it rebuilt?
English 10 Homework for Fri. to Mon: Dec. 4 :
1. Synthesis Essay: Tonight and Tomorrow in class, rewrite/revise your synthesis essay by the end of the Block tomorrow.
2. Prompt: Over the weekend write a 4-5 paragraph essay on the following: People's understanding of the world changes over time. Remember that is an essay that can be in the first person point of view. This is due Monday at the beginning of class.
3. Poetry: Read the poems: "Follower", "The Blizzard", and "The Lonely Land" and do the multiple choice. Always refer back to the poems when you do the multiple choice. Due Monday.
*Look up words you don't know, and read the poems 3 or 4 times before you do the multiple choice.
*Use the glossary that each text has at the bottom of the page.

English 9 Homework for Thursday, Dec. 3:
1. Romeo and Juliet: Start your "Introduction to Shakespeare" Quiz. You will need to read the "London Life" Handout and pages 526-529 of your Responding to Literature text. You will also need to do some Research. You can find some information on line.
Tonight, you are to do start with question #1 Research: When was the "Elizabethan Era." Why was it named this? Describe the following: the life, religion, the wars, the arts. Write short paragraphs (4-6 sentences each). You can work with a partner online.
Get a good start.

English 9 Homework for Wed. December 2:
1. Finalize your Visual and your Oral Presentation. Be ready with your questions and all other activities, so you are prepared and ready to engage the class. I would suggest that you rehearse before tomorrow.
Please have a copy of your script for me, tomorrow.
English 10 B Block Homework for Wed. 3:
1. Read "Great-Aunt Rebecca" and do the multiple choice. Then read "Tamar" and do all the multiple choice, to the end of Page 20.
2. In point form do the synthesis essay Comparing and Contrasting how the speaker in "Great-Aunt Rebecca" and the narrator in "Tamar" are affected by their relationship with an older person. Full essay draft: Introduction, two well-developed Body Paragraphs, and a Conclusion.
