Ms. Tyre's English 9 Homework for Tuesday, June 2:

1. Romeo and Juliet

a) Finish all the questions to where we left off.  

b) Update your Literary Devices Document- include Dramatic Irony *(when we know something some of the characters do not). You will find this in Act 3, scenes 4 and 5). 

c) Paragraph: Discuss your opinion of the Nurse, both before and at the end of Act 3, scene 5. Also discuss whether or not you would have acted the same way she did. You may use the first person "I" for this paragraph (2/3rds of a page, double-spaced).


Ms. Tyre's English 11 Homework for Tuesday, June 3:

1. Macbeth: 

a) Finish all questions to end of Act 3, scene 3. 

 b) S. I. F. T.  Act 3, scene 2, lines 15-28, 43-48, 50-61.  After you SIFT these lines,  answer question 2 for Act 3, scene 2.   

3) Pre-read Act 3, scene 4 and read the questions. Come prepared to explain as we listen to the Act, and to orally answer the questions.

Ms. Tyre's English 11 Homework for Friday, May 30:

1. Macbeth: a) Finish reading Act 3, scene one, and use the glossary for understanding. Write out important passages in your own words. I will give you the questions for Act 3 tomorrow.

b) Do a S.I.F.T. of Macbeth's soliloquy, lines 52-77.  These are due tomorrow.



Ms. Tyre's English 9 Homework for Friday, May 30:

1. Romeo and Juliet: a) Have all the questions answered to where we left off.  b) Update your Literary Devices Document after each class. I will ask to see them again next week.  c) Be ready for your Friar Laurence Dramatic Performance tomorrow.  You may read off your modernized script, but rehearse it well tonight so that you do not just read it, but speak it with emotion, personality, conviction! You are the Friar - Act!

Ms. Tyre's English 11 Homework for Wednesday, May 29:

1. Macbeth Questions: Finish all Questions to the end of Act 2, scene 3. Use direct references in your answers to show character and important themes.

2. Macbeth Passages: Complete your S.I.F.T of the important lines II, i, lines 37-40, 47-52, 54-57, 74-80, 92-93.  Use your Glossary well.
