English 10 Homework for Monday, Jan. 4:

1. Dialectical Journals: Please follow my instructions on the Handouts you have. Follow the format I gave you, and be thoughtful in your choices and responses. 

You are to complete this assignment by Monday, Jan. 4.  Bring your work with you, as you will be in Groups to discuss the novel.

1. Theories of Relativity: Read the novel with care and complete your BookTalk on it. Follow the instructions carefully, and do your best work.

English 10 Homework for Thursday, Dec. 17:

1. Dialectical Journals: You should have started reading your novels, and started to begin your Dialectical Journals.  I would like to see one or two tomorrow, just to give you some feedback.

If you have any questions about these, ask for clarity tomorrow.


English 9 Homework for Thursday, Dec. 16:

1. Have your Headlines completed to then end of Act 1, Scene 4. 

2. Have all your Act 1 questions up to date: end of 1, 4.  Write in sentences and develop your answers by using examples and direct quotes.

3. Rewrite the Sonnet in modern English. 

4. Explain in your own words what has happened between Romeo and Juliet.

English 9 Homework for Wednesday, Dec. 16:

1. Revise the Cupid/Romeo paragraph for tomorrow, if you got 4 or less. Follow a proper paragraph structure: a topic sentence, a developed discussion, good examples, good synthesis. Double-space and word process.

2. Headlines: be creative and write the Headlines for the scenes we have completed. Encapsulate the scene in a clever Headline.

3. Questions/Answers: Keep up with the questions. Do them is full sentences and develop them enough that a stranger would understand them.


English 10 Homework for Wednesday, Dec. 16:

1. "Ozymandias" is due tomorrow. Just hand in your best copy. Please include the S.I.F.T. with it, stapled underneath.

2. Please keep 'Poetic Devices and Figurative Language" Handout until after the Winter Break. You will need it for to start your Dialectical Journal.

3. Make sure all of your Handouts are in by tomorrow.

4. Set up your Binder or Notebook to begin the reading and writing of your Dialectical Journal. You will start reading in Wednesday's class.

English 10 Homework for Tuesday, Dec. 15:

1. All work that was not handed in Monday, is due tomorrow.

2. Two Poems Synthesis: Please read "Gracious Goodness" and do the MC.  Then read the poem"To Have Succeeded" and do the MC.

3. Write a synthesis paragraph discussing the common theme of these two poems.
